    Use template shortcuts in Outlook email messages and templates

    You can use template shortcuts as building blocks when creating other templates and composing emails in Outlook.

    Use shortcuts directly in Outlook email messages #

    1. In the message body, type names of the template shortcuts you want to use, including hash signs (##).

    2. In the lower-right corner of the Shared Email Templates pane, select the Handle shortcuts button.

      Process template shortcuts in the message body with the Handle shortcuts button.

    As soon as the shortcuts are processed, the content of the corresponding templates appears in the email message.

    Processed template shortcuts are replaced with templates.

    Use shortcuts in templates #

    1. In the Outlook email template that you’re creating or editing, select the The Insert shortcut icon. Insert shortcut button on the template editor toolbar.

    2. From the list of available shortcuts, select the one you need.

    3. After entering all the necessary shortcuts, save your template.

    When such a template is inserted into an Outlook email message, the content of the corresponding templates appears there.
