Auto Cc and Bcc in Outlook email templates
If you often copy your manager, a colleague, or another recipient on certain Outlook emails, you can save time by adding their address to your template. The Shared Email Templates add-in will automatically place the saved address in the Cc or Bcc field whenever you use the template. No extra typing, and no risk of forgetting someone who should be kept in the loop.
To automatically populate the Cc and Bcc fields in your Outlook messages, you’ll need two specific macros in your email template. Watch the video for the full walkthrough or follow the steps below.
Insert the Cc recipient.
Place the cursor at the beginning or end of the template text. Click the Insert macro button on the template editor toolbar, double-click Add to Cc, and enter the email address you want to add to the Cc field.
Insert the Bcc recipient.
Click the Insert macro button again, double-click Add to Bcc, and enter the email address you want to place in the Bcc field.
Save the template.
When both macros are in the template, click Save.
When you insert this template into an email, the saved email addresses are automatically added to the Cc and Bcc fields. If those fields already contain recipients, the existing addresses remain, and the saved addresses are added alongside them.
